The Matrix Evaluation Model Online Tutorial

The Matrix Online Tutorial has been broken down into four separate sessions for easier understanding of the different steps it takes to use and implement the Matrix Evaluation Model.

Session I - Session II - Session III - Session IV

Session I
1) introduces outcomes evaluation and places it in the context of agency planning and accountability, and 2) describes the Matrix Evaluation Model as one type of outcomes evaluation tool.

Session II
1) presents client indicators as the key to assessing family progress, and 2) places the use of client indicators in the larger picture of the Matrix Evaluation Model.

Session III
1) familiarizes participants with the use of the Family Development Matrix portion of the Matrix Evaluation Model, and 2) trains agency staff to accurately document family progress over time using the Family Development Matrix.

Session IV
1) Demonstrates the entering of Family Development Matrix data into a simple spreadsheet program, and 2) provides an overview of how Matrix Evaluation Model data can be aggregated and applied in a variety of scenarios.
