100 - CLINICAL BREAST EXAMINATION - Patient receives breast examination by a physician or clinician. Provide support between finding a lump and diagnosis.
100.1 Develop correctly translated books, videos, and materials relating to diagnosis, treatment, nutrition, survival, psychological support and death, utilizing patient testimonials when possible. Include low literacy versions.
100.2 Keep paperwork and eligibility information simple and accessible for staff and providers. Encourage staff to routinely make subsequent appointments for clients when needed.
100.3 Provide multi-language, culturally sensitive translation at any appointment.
100.4 Provide breast self exam instructions in appropriate languages including mammogram frequency guidelines. Attempt to reduce fears by stressing importance of screening, rescreening and follow-up.
