CONFERENCE GOAL
To promote the knowledge, principles and practices of prevention that best support children, youth, families and communities.
This conference on prevention is pleased to share with you knowledge from two of our country’s most respected educators, researchers and program innovators. Lisbeth Schorr (Harvard University) and Larry W. Green (University of California, San Francisco) will speak on “What we have learned about prevention in 25 years and future applications.”
They will present their vision of prevention principles to stimulate program strategies and innovations, so you can apply them in your community. The Pathway to the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect developed at Harvard University will be presented and workshops will provide goal-directed outcomes, researched practices and action ideas for developing program and countywide prevention plans. Bring agency and community partners to increase local collaboration, planning and implementation.

Co-Director of Society, Diversity & Disparities Program, Comprehensive Cancer Center, University of California at San Francisco. Larry is the author of Health Program Planning: An Educational and Ecological Approach.
Plenary Speaker: Lisbeth Schorr, “Children, Youth and Prevention” Harvard University. Lee founded and directs the Pathways Mapping Initiative of the Project on Effective Interventions, and is the author of Within Our Reach and Common Purpose.
