The institute for Community Collaborative Studies conducts community research, design innovative program practices and community initiatives in Health, Human Services and Public Policy.
In 1995, as the Ft.Ord conversion led to planning the California State University Monterey Bay, health and human service leaders advocated to create the Institute for Community Collaborative Studies. ICCS is a unique community/university center of excellence that facilitates the development of collaborative partnerships to improve health, human services and public policy initiatives especially for children, families and communities in the Monterey Bay, California and across the United States.

As a community/ university center, ICCS is funded by contracts and grants. Since 1997, ICCS designs models for innovative practices in academic and community programs
The Matrix Outcomes Model
The Matrix Outcome Model is an internet based, outcomes tool for assessment, case management and evaluation. Used in over 200 programs across the United States, our community partners utilize the design center and database to collect client and community data and with its reports improve program practices.
Family Development Matrix/ Pathway to the Prevention of Child Abuse and Negect
6 Year grant from Office of Child Abuse Prevention, Department of Social Services to build county- based collaboratives to implement the FDM outcomes Model for assessment, case management, and evaluation.
