Concentration and elective courses (select three):


The two concentrations currently available for the program are Health and Social Policy (HSP), offered by HHSPP, and Government Politics and Policymaking (GPP), offered by the Panetta Institute. Students select two courses from their respective concentration and one elective course.


Health and Social Policy Concentration Courses

Government Politics and Policy Concentration Courses



  • GPP 650 Money, Media & Influence in Policymaking Environments, 3 credits
  • GPP 651 Budget Policy, 3 credits

Electives


Electives can be selected from the available concentration (HSP or GPP) courses, from other campus departments, or from off-campus academic partners such as the Monterey Institute for International studies and UC Santa Cruz. Electives must be approved by your academic advisor. Appropriate disciplines include Education, Environmental Science, and Business.
