Admission to the MPP Program

Fall 2010 Admissions Information

Thank you for your interest in our Master of Public Policy (MPP) program at CSU Monterey Bay. The MPP program is a collaborative effort between the Panetta Institute for Public Policy and the Department of Health, Human Services & Public Policy (HHSPP) at CSUMB. The Panetta Institute provides outstanding faculty and support to the program, while HHSPP is its administrative home, providing classes, faculty, student support, and leadership for program development and implementation. The MPP degree is granted by CSUMB.

Applications are accepted only for the fall semester each year -- there are no spring admissions for this program. We are currently accepting applications for the Fall 2010 term. The CSU application must be completed and submitted online, but all other documents must be submitted in hard copy. A detailed checklist of items that must be included in your application package can be found on the Supplemental Application/ Checklist. Enrollment is capped and admissions competitive, so early applications are strongly encouraged. (Note: Obtaining transcripts and letters of recommendation can take some time, so please plan to request these as early as possible.)

You may download Fall 2010 printable application materials from the first two links below, and may follow the CSU application link to access the required online application to the University.

Faculty members are available to discuss the program and answer questions, so if you need additional information, please contact us at 831-582-3565 or by email at mpp@csumb.edu.
