"HHSPP programs are built on a foundation of academic excellence, practitioner experience, and community wisdom."

"From the Classroom to the Community"

Welcome to the Department of Health, Human Services & Public Policy. HHSPP is recognized for unique and innovative programs that provide students, who are interested in careers in the health and human services and public policy professions, with integrative and multidisciplinary learning opportunities including academic study and field-based practice in community-based public health, social work and public policy.

Students develop the knowledge, skills and values of collaborative leadership, professional ethics, cross cultural competence, and the use of technology in all HHSPP programs. In addition, the processes essential to empowering individuals, families, organizations, and communities seeking to create positive change in society are emphasized as important academic and professional goals for students, faculty and staff.

HHSPP currently offers three inter-professional education programs: a Bachelor of Arts degree in Collaborative Health and Human Services (CHHS), a Master of Public Policy (MPP) degree, and a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree. HHSPP also offers four minor degree programs: Environmental Health Policy, International Health Policy, Social Work, and Nonprofit Management.

Our Mission is to infuse shared values for community leadership & service.

Our Vision is to shape the future of the 21st Century helping professions.

Our Motto is to contribute to our community.
