to the Department of Health, Human Services & Public
Policy. HHSPP is recognized for unique and innovative
programs that provide students, who are interested in
careers in the health and human services and public
policy professions, with integrative and multidisciplinary
learning opportunities including academic study and
field-based practice in community-based public health,
social work and public policy.
Students develop the knowledge, skills and values of
collaborative leadership, professional ethics, cross
cultural competence, and the use of technology in all HHSPP programs. In addition, the processes essential
to empowering individuals, families, organizations,
and communities seeking to create positive change in society are
emphasized as important academic and professional goals
for students, faculty and staff.
HHSPP
currently offers three inter-professional education
programs: a Bachelor of Arts degree in Collaborative
Health and Human Services (CHHS), a Master
of Public Policy (MPP) degree, and a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree.
HHSPP also offers four minor degree programs: Environmental
Health Policy, International
Health Policy, Social
Work, and Nonprofit Management.
